What do I do when I receive the error message, ‘The program can’t start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem’?

This error usually appears when you have installed an app from the FXCM Apps page, that requires that a specific version of Microsoft Visual C++ be installed on your computer as well, but you already had versions of that program on your machine during installation of the app, which are incompatible.

To resolve this issue:

  • Go to Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsPrograms and Features, and uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs listed there.
  • Next, reinstall the FXCM app.

    • During installation, you should notice that a download of a specific version of Microsoft Visual C++ should take place, in addition to the app itself.
  • After re-installation, the app should work properly without causing the error message to reappear.
