What documents do I need to submit for identification (ID) and Proof of Address when opening a new account?

We may require one proof of identity and one proof of address document. The customer portal will inform you which documents you need to submit.

Proof of Address

We accept:

  • Bank statement
  • Gas or water bill
  • Internet or cable TV bill
  • Mortgage Statement
  • Rental Agreement
  • Home Insurance statement
  • Local tax bill
  • Tax return
  • Government-issued, certification of residence

We accept screenshots from your banking portal or utility bill provider as long as it includes your name, account information and issuer details.

We do NOT accept:

  • Mobile phone bills
  • Other screenshots or pictures of a screen
  • Cropped pictures, only displaying your name, address

General Requirements:

  • Not older than 6 months
  • Information matches your name and address on file
  • Contains the name or logo of the issuer

All information on the document should be visible and not obscured by your hands, poor lighting or flash. The image should not be blurry.

Proof of Identity:

We accept:

  • Passport
  • Driver's License
  • National ID Card
  • Residency Permit

We do NOT accept:

  • Student ID
  • ID not containing your photo

General Requirements:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Not expired
  • Name and Date of Birth visible

All information on the document should be visible and not obscured by your hands, poor lighting or flash. The image should not be blurry.
